“ O, you who believe, fasting is prescribed to those before you, that you may learn self-restraint” (Q.S.2.183).

The reward of the accepted fasting is paradise. Allah the almighty gives great reward for fasting as much or more than we can realize. Because fasting is secret between man and Allah, therefore, it is the only aspect of worship that has been attributed to Allah. It has come down to us in the traditions of the prophet when he sais “ any kind of the best action done by the children of Adam  will be rewarded ten times to seven hundred times and may be more, according to the will of Allah, because fasting it is an attribute of Me and I will reward it, and one who fast is giving up his desires and his food for my sake”. Fasting is a protection. When one is fasting, he should not utter bad words, he should not raise his voice. If someone insult him, or fight him, he should remain himself that he is fasting by saying. “I’m fasting, I swear by Allah, who has Muhammad’s soul in his hand that the smell of mouth of the one who pasts is better than performed in the sight of Allah.

Hakekat Shalat



Hakekat Shalat Yang Sebenarnya
Nasehat Habib Ahmad bin Abdurrahman Assegaf
Al-Habib Ahmad bin Abdurrahman Assegaf adalah salah satu ulama dengan kapasitas ilmu pengetahuan dhohir dan bathin yang diakui oleh ulama-ulama sezamanya. Al Arif Billah Habib Abdullah bin Idrus Al Aydrus menyebut beliau sebagai kholifah di masanya.
Pada satu kesempatan di masjid Thoha, Hadramaut, pada tanggal 20 Syawal 1353 Hijriyah, beliau memberikan ceramah ilmiah bertemakan shalat. Beliau berkata, shalat merupakan sarana paling utama bagi manusia untuk dapat selalu berinteraksi dengan Penciptanya. Dahulu Nabi Zakariya a.s. menjadikan shalat sebagai fasilitas ketika beliau meminta kepada Allah untuk diberikan keturunan.
Doa beliau dikabulkan dan mendapatkan seorang putra yaitu Nabi Yahya yang merupakan anugerah terbesar dalam hidupnya. Rasul SAW bersabda, ‘Hal yang paling membuatku senang adalah shalat’. Dengan shalat beliau merasakan suatu kenikmatan yang tiada banding, berdialog dengan Allah SWT.
Dalam kitab Nashoih Dinniyah Habib Abdullah Alhaddad mengibaratkan shalat sebagaimana kepala pada manusia. Manusia mustahil dapat hidup tanpa kepala. Demikian halnya semua perbuatan baik manusia akan sia-sia jika tanpa disertai shalat. Shalat merupakan parameter diterima atau tidaknya amal perbuatan manusia. Rasul SAW bersabda, ‘Pertama yang diperhitungkan pada hari kiamat adalah shalat. Jika shalatnya diterima, maka seluruh amal sholehnya diterima, namun jika shalatnya ditolak, maka seluruh amal solehnya ditolak pula.’
Habib Ahmad kemudian bercerita, “Al-walid Sayid Alwi bin Abdurrahman Assegaf berkata, ‘Sesungguhnya pamanku Abdurrahman bin Ali berkata, jika kamu mempunyai hajat baik urusan dunia ataupun akhirat, maka memintalah pertolongan kepada Allah SWT dengan melaksanakan shalat. Bacalah akhir surat Thoha seusai shalat, Insya Allah dengan segala kebesaran-Nya akan dikabulkan hajat dan keinginanmu.’
Namun shalat kita pada masa sekarang ini tidaklah seperti shalat para salaf terdahulu yang penuh khusyu’ dan khidmat. Shalat kita merupakan shalat yang selalu dipenuhi kelalaian dan kealpaan, sehingga sangatlah kecil prosentase diterimanya. Orang-orang sufi terdahulu yang tidak diragukan lagi kedalaman ilmu pengetahuannya, menambahkan tiga rukun pada rukun-rukun shalat yang dikemukakan para ulama fiqih yaitu, khusuk atau tadabbur (hadirnya hati), khudu’(merendahkan diri kepada Allah) dan ikhlas. Firman Allah SWT:
 “Hai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah kamu shalat, sedang kamu dalam keadaan mabuk, sehingga kamu mengerti apa yang kamu ucapkan.”
Penafsiran mereka dalam ayat ini adalah, ‘Janganlah kalian mendekati (mengerjakan) shalat sedangkan kalian dalam keadaan mabuk oleh kesenangan dunia hingga pikiran kalian kosong dari dari segala urusan dunia.’
Sekarang kita saksikan orang-orang melaksanakan shalat namun hati mereka masih selalu tertuju pada urusan dunia, baik urusan jual beli maupun pekerjaan mereka. Akibatnya mereka lupa berapa rokaat yang telah mereka kerjakan, tidak mengetahui surat apa yang telah dibacakan imam. Mereka sama sekali tidak menghayati bacaan Alfatihah dan ayat-ayat yang lain dalam shalat, mereka tidak menyadari bahwa mereka berdiri di depan Maha Penguasa dan sedang berdialog dengan Maha Pencipta. Urusan-urusan duniawi benar-benar telah menguasai hati manusia.
Orang yang memikirkan urusan dunia dalam shalat sama halnya dengan orang yang melumuri Al-Qur’an yang suci dengan khomer. Shalat yang seharusnya menjadi wadah yang suci telah mereka penuhi dengan kotoran-kotoran yang menjijikkan. Tanpa ada niat ikhlas yang merupakan ruh dari shalat, orang yang demikian diibaratkan oleh Imam Ghozali seperti seseorang yang menghadiahkan seonggok bangkai dengan kemasan rapi kepada seorang raja. Tentunya perbuatan tersebut bukannya menyenangkan hati raja melainkan membuat dia marah dan murka karena dianggap telah melecehkan kehormatan dan kebesarannya.
Para salaf terdahulu memandang shalat sebagai hal yang sangat sakral dan agung. Mereka selalu berusaha melaksanakan dengan sesempurna mungkin. Hingga diantara mereka acapkali dihinggapi burung saat shalat karena sangat khusyuk dan tenangnya. Ada pula yang sampai tidak merasakan dahsyatnya gempa bumi yang meluluh lantakkan bangunan-bangunan di sekitarnya. Bahkan Imam Ali bin Husein sama sekali tak merasakan panasnya kobaran api yang membumi hanguskan rumah beliau saat beliau tenggelam dalam shalatnya. Saat ditanya beliau hanya berujar, ‘Panasnya api yang lain (api neraka) telah membuatku tak merasakan panasnya api dunia.’
Habib Ahmad kemudian memberikan tausiyah, ‘Rasul SAW bersabda, ‘Ada seorang lelaki di antara kamu, rambut di kedua pipinya telah memutih namun tidak diterima satu pun shalatnya.’ Ini menunjukkan bahwa tak ada satu shalat pun yang dia kerjakan dengan khusyuk. Padahal, mulai usia 15 tahun hingga enam puluh tahun sudah berapa kali dia mengerjakan shalat. Jika tidak ada satu shalat pun yang dia kerjakan dengan khusyuk, itu berarti hatinya benar-benar dikuasai urusan keduniaan.

Ini adalah masalah kompleks di tengah masyarakat Islam yang harus disikapi dengan serius, terutama bagi para ulama dan penuntut ilmu. Adapun orang awam pada zaman sekarang sudah merasa cukup dengan shalat serba praktis seperti yang biasa mereka kerjakan. Bahkan di antara mereka ada yang mengeluh jika mendapati seorang imam shalat terlalu lama. Mereka lebih memilih imam yang lebih cepat dan ringkas sembari mengesampingkan unsur kekhusyukan yang sebenarnya esensial dalam shalat. Bagaimana dengan shalat kita?
