The technique of teaching English

Teaching and educating is one of those jobs that stout sacrifice, good energy, thought and time, so teachers have to hard work in implementing the tasks as teachers, in order to bring his students direction of positive change, and is able to interact with the community environment. As a guideline for a teacher there is some techniques that require attention, including:
1.       Student centered; the activities focused on the student or students to be able to interact with teachers and fellow friends, so that students can communicate, this technique usually applied at the beginning of learning to the assessment, the strength of this technique, it is; very effective in controlling and observing the results of learning experiences that have been learned. Moderate weakness of this technique, it is; rests on the student (Student centered), thus revealing the learning experience must find a new vocabulary, without given previously.
2.       Teacher centered, the teacher just giving an explanation (lecturing), giving the material a way to write on the board, so that the learning activities become more boring. Many students were sleepy and uninterested in his studies. , This activity is spotted and occur in one direction communicates, no interaction between teachers and students. So the task of students a teacher spotted and record conversations, to be remembered and played back if there workout. This technique has Strengths and weaknesses; learning is very boring, and not until the learning indicators So that the technique is not effective for language learning.
3.       Read the loud and repeated; these the activities are conducted every meeting of a better word, a phrase spoken. Repeating every word or phrase has an important role in communication training. Although it is easy to apply, but the communicative aspect becomes rigid. The strength of this technique, it is; Excellent for exercise articulation. And the weakness of this technique is the loss of two-way communication.
4.        Role play; this technique leads to an activity where two or more role active, students are given roles and tasks. For example. One student played as a teacher and the other students. The teacher usually giving some phrases that can be used in playing the role. The strength of this technique is; has a communicative function since it involves two-way interaction. Thus playing a role has punctured to achieve more specific goals and tasks performed better. The weakness of this technique is; has a personal perception directed to good preparation
5.       Role Games; Characteristics the game is curious, to try and always contains a sense of competition. It is very good to motivate and stimulate enthusiasm for learning. The type of guessing game began with something unusual and unpredictable. The game types are applied to all ages. Language teaching in every point can be used as a game, or something like a guessing game to guess the language. Before giving a game, you should giving very clear instructions and giving an example. The strength of this technique is: highly motivated, fun and exciting. The weakness of this technique is; activities cannot get to the bottom because of the time run much faster.
6.       The working group; they refer to the activities the teacher in implementing of language activity by dividing the class into groups of learners. The formation of them can be applied in this game, through sketches, simulations, discussions, and so forth. One important aspect of teaching y working group is the teachers to perform personal coaching, especially for students who are difficult to hang up or shut up. Will be mutual control among groups, object of the game that the students be more creative in taking a decision. The strength of this technique is not to use a larger space, more manageable. The weakness of this technique is; almost nothing except for the seventh grade.
7.       Small Projects; language teaching process involving all aspects of communication skills and overall. The students have an important role, because the activities are real. For example, students in the group should know the best tourist attractions, the price is less than seven hundred thousand rupiah and the activities were put into a simple proposal using the English language. This activity should be well-organized, this the activities requires language skills and other skills. The strength of this technique is well integrated. The weaknesses of the technique is requires a well-organized preparation and use of a longer time.
8.       Scenes; this game is like playing a role; the teacher must be prepared to make a short scenario. Activities are divided into several groups Learners assigned roles in such scenario- in dramatic play. Then they discuss how to find a way out. Scenario has to understand all shapes or lines before they act. The most important part of this sketch, was to discuss the role and story, because they must determine how to each of the characters must act and expressing. The strength of this technique is; is very effective because it involves learners to learn the language, emotional and others interact. Weakness; should be able to use immediately.
9.       The simulation and case studies; the simulation game aimed at all learners are able to take part in these activities, to solve environmental problems such as having to decide to manage household waste for economic improvement. A student as the main actor, the other as a leader, one as waste management, and one as a garbage worker, then they should discuss the issue for taking decisions. This activity involves motivating them because of their knowledge, emotions, and their intelligence, this technique is only suitable for high level students. The strength of this technique is; they do not realize that they are actually learning the language. So that they are stimulated in order to have the ability to communicate. The weakness of this technique is; requires the ability higher language skills.
While other techniques, such as discussions and debates (including simulation, and small projects), these activities not only give an idea to the teachers, but also students motivated in carrying out activities. We are to try to learn the language of the application of the function communicative of the grammar, so that the ultimate goal of learning successfully.
